Effective October 22, 2026. This policy covers aircraftdetailing.ai and the Aircraft Detailing AI iOS app.
Your shop stays private.
The AI isn't crowd-sourced. Your questions, prices and customer info stay in your account and are never shared with other shops.
What we collect
- Account email, a scrambled password hash, and the fact that you accepted the terms. We do not store the password itself. A password reset code is emailed only when you ask. We store that code as a hash for 30 minutes. If you use Sign in with Apple or Sign in with Google, we also store that provider's account id and the email they share. Apple may give us a private relay address instead of your real email. We do not receive your Apple or Google password.
- Questions you ask and the answers we return. A copy is stored with your account so you can delete it, and on your phone so you can read it offline.
- Photos you choose to send with a question. The photo is used to answer that question. We do not keep that photo file after the answer is produced. The on-phone chat can keep a small preview until you delete the chat or the account.
- If you tell us how a job turned out, we keep that answer, whether you sent a change order, an optional note, and any before or after photo with your account until you delete the account or we reject the note. Location data is removed from those photos. They are not used to answer other people unless Brett approves the text. Photos and the change-order answer are not added to answers.
- Push notification token for this phone, if you allow notifications.
- Subscription status: whether Apple says an auto-renewable subscription is active, or whether a Shopify subscription on the same email is active. We do not receive your full card number.
How we use it
We use this information to sign you in, answer detailing questions, confirm a subscription, and send a notification you asked for. Questions and photos are sent to our AI provider to write the answer. They are not added to a dataset that other shops can see.
Camera and photos
The iOS app uses the camera or your photo library only when you tap Take photo or Choose photo. You can refuse both and still type a question.
Notifications
Notifications are optional. You can turn them off in iOS Settings. We use a token-based Apple push key held on our server. We do not use advertising identifiers, and we do not track you across other companies' apps.
Subscriptions
Subscriptions bought in the iOS app are billed by Apple. Subscriptions bought on the Shiny Jets website stay on that website. The app does not link to website checkout. Signing in with the website email is enough when that subscription is active.
Delete your account
In the iOS app, open Account and choose Delete account. That deletes the account, the server copy of the chat, follow-ups about how a job turned out, the push token, and the saved link to your subscription. It also clears the chat stored on that phone. Deleting the account does not cancel an Apple subscription. Cancel that in your App Store account settings if you do not want it to renew. You can also email hello@shinyjets.com and ask us to delete the account.
Children
Aircraft Detailing AI is for professional detailers and aircraft owners. It is not directed at children under 13.
